Just came back from the store and am able the get the 5 speakers for for HT as follows:

B&W FPM - $2800
B&W VN1 - $1000
Energy Take - $1300

The guy there said the VN1 are comparable with the Take's. So I'm leaning between the VN1 and FPM. Listened to both systems but they both sound about the same to me (being from the ears of a novice). Are the FPM's really worth the almost triple price. Are the VN1's any good? Why are the priced so low.

I currently have a set of Bose at home but want to upgrade. Don't wanna upgrade to something that's even worse. Any advice please.
Thanks

I just ordered the 2 FPM 6s for the front 1 FPM 4 for the center and rears. I should be getting them this friday, so I will give you a report. I currently have the B&W 601s. I assume the the FPM wont sound as good, but they look great.

I would stay away from the VN1, they are very poor quality in my opinion
