According to the info on the B&W site the DM7’s have a sensitivity given as “10 volts rms for spl of 95dB at 1m”. I’m used to seeing sensitivity given in SPL (dB) with 1W at 1m and 95dB seems quite optimistic for an input of 1W at 1m.
Also the DM7 Mk2 has a sensitivity of “1 watt into 8ohms for a s.p.l. of 86dB at 1m sineware input at 1kHz” which seems low but more realistic. Does anyone know the SPL value for the DM7’s at 1W, or any other useful info on these speakers?
