B&W 804S upgrade to B&W 803S

I have had my 804S for about 2 months now. The dealer that I bought them from said that I could upgrade to the 803S for about $1400 more plus trade in my 804S. So, I have been giving it some thought and doing some research. So far, the only difference between the 804S and the 803S is that the 803S has a bigger cabinet and the bass cone is .5 inches bigger. I am not considering the bass cone because my Velodyne DD18 will take care of all the bass that I need and then some. So, the only difference to me is a bigger cabinet. I just don't see the cost justification to only get a bigger speaker cabinet. Am I missing something? If I am please let me know. After all, the wife has given me the go ahead. Now I am trying to justify for myself the gain that I would be getting out of the upgrade. So, if you know something that I am missing, please let me know.

As always, I look forward to your response.

To me, the reason for a larger speaker (all else being equal) is bass response. Since your sub makes this a moot point, I can't see it being worth the $ for you.

OK. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't miss something. However, I am upgrading my center channel from htm4s to htm3s. I think that's worth the price difference. Time will tell.

Joe, thanks for your response.
