i usually dont listen to music in 5.1. do you listen to 5.1 music on dvds or music cds? also what do you set your receiver , for example when i listen to music i set it to 2 channel stereo on my yamaha, when i watch movies i set it to movie theater adventure. i will try it in 5.1 but when i have a dvd concert in.

In the past I've only listened to music in stereo because thats all I've ever owned.

I had heard from some people that 5.1 music was a real enhancement, so when I auditioned the Axiom stuff I listened to a well recorded music cd in 5.1.

It was enough to convince me that its worth the extra $ in speakers to listen to music in 5.1. I should say that I chose a cd recorded live in a small hall, so there was lots reflected sound to extract from the stereo material.
