That's great progress for them. Axiom fans should really be happy with this design and it seems like a nice upgrade from a VP150.

Yup, I've never been too hype on Axiom's Center speakers - never got a seemless blend with any of them when it came to sounds panning across the front soundstage. But the new VP160 looks very promising!

It is their best new product they have come out with in years IMO. It's a whole new speaker design for them which is a welcome break from their speaker designs of the past decade or so and adding an inwall/onwall version.

It only took them 30 years!

Not crazy about the front ports but I guess they'll allow for more flexibility with placement but a visual distraction if the grill is removed...for me anyways.

One of the first prototypes had the ports on the back. I actually like the front port placement better. It also has the drivers spaced closer together than the former which is a good thing as well.

I think this will be an excellent center channel not just to match the M60 but for EVERY tower they make including the M80.

Early feedback reports indicate it betters the vp180 in dialogue anyways...but again this is coming from guys who really love their Axioms....

One person got it early and has used the VP150, VP180 and VP160 in his system. He even admitted that speech intelligibility in his further off-axis seating positions was best with the VP160.

Are you going with the NRT or RAAL tweeter? Very, very nice! Just realized that with your sig. They look absolutely gorgeous too!

Standard tower...w/o RAAL. I just spoke to them today and they're crazy busy filling back orders..mine should be shipping out by next week...I hope.

I am really excited about these towers....
