PB10-NSD = baseline
PB12-NSD = 1.5X baseline
PB12-Plus = 2.0X baseline
PB12-NSD/2 = 2.7X baseline
PB12-Plus/2 = 3.0X baseline
PB13-Ultra = 3.0X baseline from 35-80 Hz; 4.0X baseline from 18-35 Hz.
Thats what I was told by SVS. I would get the PB13
One sub will tak less room an leave room for anothe PB13

I see what you mean as far as getting the most for the money, but I think its an issue of impact versus extension. I'm quite sure the PB13-ULTRA will have the most extension, but i'm curious about impact b/c the pb12- plus/2 has a 900watt amp! Also, 2 pb12 pluses, would be 1050 watts! That could be interesting. So, I think it's whether i want deep base or more impact. The Ultra is probably a really good balance of the two. I'm not really sure though. that's why i threw it out there. Needless to say, with all the options and great pricing SVS offers, I think I'm definitely going with SVS. Thanks for the insight.

The Ultra has more than enough impact. You would think a Plus/2 would have more impact, but I don't think that is actually the case; The Ultra is that good! You can see this from the chart.

OH---MY .............. I just looked at some charts! You are right. Holy crap! The Ultra is probably all i'd ever need! It must be a more efficient design to get that kind of response. I did see the cylinder design is slightly cheaper though. But I looked at those charts too and it looks like the box design slightly beats the cylinder design.

A subs amp, and watts is just a small portion of a subs performance. Look at these subs.

Supercube Trinity--2000 watts
Supercube Reference--1800 watts
Supercube 1--1500 watts

I have to agree, Mazer. I think I'm sticking the SVS. When I look at performance charts, the reviews, and the overwhelming number of SVS-ites, I feel like it would be hard to go wrong with one of their subs. :D
In fact, if I can afford it, I think I may go for the Ultra. It will take up less space than any 2 sub combo and I think the performance is tough to beat for the price. We'll see how the money situation goes.

Nice that they give no performance specs... Any testing done on it?

The driver is one key factor in why the Ultra is so amazing. The driver alone weighs just a little less than a complete PB-10! Crazy stuff. The box is pretty massive, but I actually kind of expected it to be bigger than that.

Only Review is from Tom Nousaine. Don't know how good it is but the driver is 70 lbs. I'm just waiting for ppl to buy and test them . Just another interesting sub. I'm looking at the caliber myself. The Conquest is to large for my space. I guess the owner of Epic use to make Avalanche XBL^2 drivers, fwiw that's worth. Dunno but I always hear about those.

The difference between 2 Plus subs that I owned and I read, a Plus/2 vs. the Ultra13 isn't really a matter of output and extention. It's pretty close depending on tune. The major difference is the sound quality. Dual Pluses pressurized the room at various levels with blooming bass notes that strike in waves. The Ultra13 defines those waves into individual notes and texture that stop when told to and strike with pinpoint attack. It's a different experience and in my opinion worth the upgrade...no real loss of HT slam, but a big gain in musical bass performance.

The Epik subs, could be world beaters in ID/SPL and based on the Ascendent reputation, musicality too. Interesting launch happening.
