I am thinking of purchasing the above 7.1 Epic Grandmaster in-wall/on-wall system. Can anyone provide feedback as to its performance for TV, movies, and music? It will be used in a family room that is 19X22X9 and driven by a Pioneer Elite 82TXS. Also, I am thinking of getting a SVS PB-12 NSD/2 instead of the Axiom 500 sub that comes with the system. I won a 20% off coupon from SVS! Please give me your thoughts. I am trying to get the most out of my hard earned dollars:D

I can't speak for the Axiom W-22 (on-wall) but I can for the W3. I have a 5.1 system in my home office using all W3 and a HSU STF-1. All run by a Yamaha 2500. My office is only 14x14x8 and carpeted. I went with the W3 because of the space and installation issues with normal bookshelf speakers. I went out on the limb and went with the W3. Its been 4 months now and I do not regret any of my decisions. Love the sound from the W3. Clear and concise without being tiring. I wanted to have sound similar to my PSB B25 in my HT and got exactly that.

Cheers:)

Make the most of the 20% off coupon, get the PB-12 Ultra2. I have the Ultra (single woofer version) and could not be happier.

Thanks for the feedback farscaper and agarwalro. Has anyone else purchased Axiom on-wall/in-wall speakers?

Most likely from the Forum Contest.

Havent heard them but, as an avid member of the AV123 forum someone had mentioned the in/on walls and the president over there even said they sounded great, so I wouldnt be worried one bit about their sound quality.

Not sure what model was in question.

Axiom surrounds

If asthetics can be slightly compromised, You should consider the Axiom QS8s for the surround channels. They mount flush with the wall and you will get a better surround effect from their quadpole design than from from a direct radiator like a bookshelf or onwall. It would also be much easier to move them to a different room or system without having a whole in the wall.

Sounds Good, Sheep is correct, I won it through a forum contest.

JcPanny, thanks for the reply. The Grandmaster system I am considering has the QS8s for the rears and surrounds.

Has anyone else heard the in-wall/on-walls.
