Axiom 80/VP150/QS8 or AV123 Rocket 850/200/300???

Hello everyone,

I ordered the AV123 Rocket 850/200/300 setup back on 30Mar. They are now telling me that it will be around the first week of May before delivery.

So my question is would the Axiom M80/VP150/QS8 do a better or equal job?

90% HT
16x18 dedicated room for HT.

i think that they can do about the same job, for less money,but you must take into respect that if you were to order the axioms they would only arrive around the 24th so that means the time issue is not a really major issue

Speaker options

Both should be great systems. Most of the speakers are probably comparable but the Onix Rocket center channel should have an edge over the Axiom center. I also prefer the looks and build quality of the Onix speakers over the vinyl on the Axioms. The Axiom M80s are also a 4 ohm load which can be difficult for a low end receiver.

AV123 inventory was unusually low for the last couple months because they moved their headquarters. I think the rockets will be worth the wait.

Will you use a sub with this HT speaker system?

I think you are right...just annoying it is taking almost 6 weeks to get new speakers

I purchased the HSU MK3.2 for my sub. for $500 it was a no brainer

See...that's my issue with ID; I have to have stuff right now and I am willing to pay the extra cost for it.
