When I picked up the NHT speakers, the guy gave me an old Pioneer VSX D2s for free. It seems ok for a 14 year old AVR. He said it powered the NHTs just fine.

I will take pictures of it and the speakers after I get it all unloaded and unboxed.

Well, I could have gotten a free 12" sub too but it wouldn't fit into my car.

It was more luck on the AVR and sub. This guy has had all this gear packed away in his office for 7 years as he didn't have room in the house he purchased 7 years ago. He said he didn't want to sell any of it but he finally accepted that he can never set it up so he put in Inwall speakers and got a Pioneer Elite SC05 and just accepted it.

He wanted to sell the AVR and sub and I said I didn't need it but his wife said, "just get it all out of my house". The speakers took up all the room I had so no way the sub could ride back with me.

The sub looked like a Klipsch sub 12 to me, I didn't ask as I didn't want to seem interested. He said he thinks something is wrong with it. He said it was clicking or something, he really couldn't remember since it's been packed up so long.

Let's wait until I open the speakers. He had them packed so nicely I didn't even open them. It maybe two big boxes of rocks.

I read people pretty well and this guy had an immaculate home and everything in it was well cared for so I wasn't too worried. He said the speakers were in the same shape as the day he bought them. They have seen very little use and have been packed and in his office for the 7 years he has had the house.

I am afraid to unpack them now as it will lead to my wife yelling at me some more and I have had about all I can take of that today.
