I want to upgrade my current receiver, Denon 1803 80W/chan 7.1. No complaints with this unit. I have a pretty good selection of DVD-A and SACD which I play on an Oppo 981HD along with standard DVDs and CDs. I 've been looking at AV receivers and have been surprised that they are not all offering the latest bells and whistles. I would like to support all formats by HDMI, the Oppo supports DVD-A and SACD via HDMI. My criteria for a receiver are 100 W/chan, 2 zone 7.1, HDMI 1.3a, at least 3 HDMI inputs (could work with 2), Dolby True HD and DTS HD and a MSRP of $800 or so. The only unit I could find that meets these requirments is the Onkyo SR705. Denon has 2 units the 2308CI and the 888, but they don't meet all my requirements I need to jump up to the next price point for Denon. Is anyone familiar with the Onkyo or own one or have another recomendation? I have other questions but I'll wait for some feedback first.

You can get the Onkyo TX-SR805 for less than $800 online. The TX-SR805 has a suggested retail of $1100 I believe and it's a bargain at that price. The TX-SR805 is a significant step up in power and connectivity.:) Make sure you have rack space for the receiver you chose.:)
