Hi,

I was wondering which AV Receiver you thought in the Denon 3806/Yamaha RX-V2600/ category that would provide a sound that would be geared more toward a music lover rather than a movie watcher but a lover of both. The speakers I currently have are:

Boston Acoustics:
VR-950 fronts
VR-12 Center
PV900 Sub
VR-MX Surrounds
Optional CR6 Rear Surrounds

Thanks!!!

Marantz 8500
Arcam 250 or 300
Outlaw Audio 1070 or a 970 Pre with whichever amp suits your needs.

Couldn't agree with J.G. more! If you want good audio quality, start with Arcam (I have an AVR250 myself and I love it, it is powering JM Lab Chorus S system anchored by 716s. Next in line would be Marantz or NAD (I prefer marantz and have put their stuff in two friends rooms with great success).

Have heard nothing but great things about Outlaw, but other than a bussy of mine that just bought a 990 pre whoch he is using with old (good) Adcom amps I have not personal experience with it.

The one that will drive your speakers properly withing the receivers design limits. Nothing more or less. Modern components don't have a sound of their own. Perception is easy to fool.

Nad T763??

Ive been checking out the NAD T763....it seems to get great reviews for its musicality and 2 channel output as well as its raw power, but I have heard of people having issues with the product. Anyone have any experience with this receiver? It seems to be bare bones in terms of feature, but bells and whistles are exactly what they are and I am looking for sound.
