AV Cabinets that blend with furniture

I'm looking for a cabinet or shelving unit that is designed to hold AV equipment yet blends in with living room furniture.

Trying to avoid the traditional TV stand.
Can't be cheap or too industrial looking.

Any brands or manufacturers to check out?

Happy wife happy life.

TVs should be mounted on a wall. That is much safer and looks the best.

Usually AV furniture looks best if it is custom. That way you can match style and finish.

This is one of my systems, but it gives you the idea.

That is a small TV and out of harms way.

This is the best way yo go for larger TVs.

Salamander is a good one to check out. They are not cheap in price but they are high quality and have a ton of configuration options and are very well designed with A/V gear in mind.

I agree with TLS, although he didn't state it, DIY is always a great option!

Where are you located? I don't often do custom (to order) pieces, but I do build furniture!
