I just bought a pair of powered KRK Rokit RP5G2 studio monitors, and I was wondering what might be the best way to hook them up to an Auzentech Prelude sound card. Would there be a better way than plugging a 1/8" stereo mini plug to 2 RCA phono plug adapter into the front speaker jack on the soundcard and then connecting the monitors via RCA connection? I suppose another option would be to connect the optical out to an external receiver and then to connect the speakers to the receiver.. but I would like to keep the setup as contained as possible while maintaining high quality (I also don't have an external receiver).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
