I just bought a pair of Aura Bass Shaker Pro's and was wondering do I really need a separate amp to power them? I have a powered sub that has 4 speaker jacks on as well as the RCA sub inputs. Can I plug these Bass Shakers into the powered sub and power them that way or is it absolutely necessary to have a seprate amp

Yes you need a separate amp to drive them
Use a Y splitter terminated to LFE output of the receiver one to the sub one to the motion actuator amp The Aura's are pretty efficient an old receiver can be used to run them or an inexpensive integrated amp will do the trick
Use 12 gauge wire for runs over 20' from the amp to the motion actuators
And if you are only running 2 run one to each channel of the amp or old receiver If you use an old receiver and still have the remote control this will
alow you to adjust the gain from the listening position
You also need to know how to properly install them otherwise the effect will be diminished by a great margin
