Must be a brand setting max limit. I kept running my diy sub at -15 . Not knowing that was overly hot . Unfortunately I’m stuck using small subs now instead of one bigger one that is much better. They still get loud for cheaper models. Last edited: Nov 26, 2025

Not brand particularly, have an Onkyo also with Audyssey, but with +/- 12 dB range on trims. -15 isn't necessarily overly hot, just may not be lined up for reference with the other channels. If you got it to -14 as shown, that would be fine for starting from reference for any "hot" tweak from there.

H Hetfield Audioholic Samurai Dec 22, 2025 #44 So here is a VERY strange update. Audyssey said Denon is aware and its a software issue and an update will be available in January to fix this. He didn't say if its specific to my model which is at least 4 years old or a bunch of models or all models so I'm confused. My receiver is at least 4 years old so why would this be an issue they know about just now? Its very strange nonetheless. What do you think?
