AudioQuest Cable/IC Question

I know that this topic is one of the most contentious in audio circles. Nevertheless, I would really appreciate your input.

I am trying several AudioQuest cables & ICs that I borrowed from my local dealer. So far, I am pleasured with the Type 4 cables & the Diamondback ICs. The sonic difference between these & lower grade AudioQuest is noticeable. I am curious if the benefit/cost ratio starts to diminish from here if I move up the AudioQuest product line? Anyone with personal experience in this area? Thank you.

Perhaps no more contentious than on this particular forum! What you are most likely to get here is a steadfast insistence that cables (for the most part) all sound alike. You might just get called names for even hinting to the contrary.

You're less likely to get beat up (I've seen it happen) for asking such a question over in the Audio Review forums or on Audio Asylum. There's more space for opinions over there.
Good luck!

BTW, I have an AQ power cord, but use Siltech IC's:)

I've used the Type 4 wire before and found essentially no difference between it and any other wire.

The Diamondback ICs however are quite good and represent probably the best value in their lineup for what you get. Above that you aren't getting enough improvement in performance to justify the added cost IMHO.
