nearing the Assymptotic Limit
Is there ever an end to Audioholism? What do you do with an Audioholic who tries to quit? Can you really build a motion simulator chair that will make you puke? All these questions and more are address in our latest editorial that addresses the complex and perpetual issue of audioholism (often confused with its less-infectious cousin "upgradeitis"). Don't miss it!

Find Out - Are You an Audioholic?]
As an ole programmer, it is never done but it is close to 95% complete. Just when you think you have reached the level of diminishing returns technology changes and new function and features are available.
In 1970 when I purchased a 13" analog Maganov color TV with rabbit ears for $300 on a payment plan, I thought that was the best you could ever get
When I built a Dynaco FM-5 tuner to go with a Marantz 1060 and a pair of Bose 901s with the waterbed couch in the living room covered with black velvet and the long red shag carpet in my townhouse. I though nothing could be better.
When I got my first Amiga computer that had a 8 color monitor and could actually do multiprocessing and had voice and music synthesizing for $2000 in 1985. I thought nothing could be better.
When I got my first VHS recorder in 1991 for $500 I thought nothing could be better.
When I got a Pioneer Elite TSX-45V and Misubishi 55" HD Tv in 2003 and Def Tech 2006 speakers ,Def Tech pro center 100 and Def Tech Pro Sub 100 and four bipole celing surrounds. I thought nothing could be better.
When I got a 37" Vizio in 2006 I though nothing could be better.
When I got my Def Tech 7002, CLR300, SVS PB12-Plus and Marantz SR8002 in 2008 I thought nothing could be better.
Now where in my 60" plasma in 2009?
I may not be there , But My wife says I better be darn close
She said don't think anymore, there is nothing better ...or else!
I am nearing the asymptotic limit! I would still like to get an HK car upgrade with twin turbos or a nice 4.0 V8 in a 3 sedan.
Take Care!
