since im not far away, do you need any help?

will fellow audioholics be able to stop by for a demo?
I am managing slowly but surely but as the 400lb speakers come, I may elect bodybuilders from the forum to help me lift them up a flight of steps :D

This house isn't open to the public, especially if your a snake oil salesman, I mean exotic cable vendor :D

So, what is your setup going to be? A pair of Titus speakers and...? Decimos for surrounds?

Titus for front speakers, Titus center (no subs) , 66-SE for side channels (for now) and SI-740 with Status upgrades for back channels. I am toying with adding 2 Velodyne DD12s or DD15s behind the listener for LFE channel.

Maybe I missed it in the thread but what are the dimensions of the home theater room and the family room?

I didn't list dimensions and will give more room details in my acoustics article.

The main theater room is a sort of L shaped room thats total dimensions are 27'x28' but the theater portion is 15' x 28'.

I have never seen a higher sensitivity rating than those Titus', at least in a "consumer" model. Are these towers the be all end all of speakers or is there another plateau yet to be reached in your opinion?

There are more power efficient speakers out there such as horn loaded stuff from Klipsch. But, the design goal for Titus wasn't ultimate efficiency as much as unlimited dynamic range, wide frequency response, low distortion and an immense soundstage.

The only higher plateau I could think of is if you could directly connect your brain to the music :D

Update: Due to the poor reliability issues I have been facing with the new Mitsubishi WD-52628, and the inability for them to resolve it in a timely manner, I am currently looking for an alternative Display for System 2 of the Audioholics Showcase. Stay tuned...

Too big, it has to be 52" or less. Samsung expressed an interest in sending their new 50" 1080p DLP display. I am looking into what is available from other manufacturers before I commit.

Just thought I should suggest the Optoma MovieTime DV10 Projector (msrp. $1299) it can be any size you want ;) and has it's own dvd player so it'll save the buyer $$ to put towards a screen.

Thanks but I cant put a screen or projector system in that room. I just picked up the new Sony 50" LCD Display to hold me over for now.

Have you ever had a chance to compare these to the Eggleston Ivy? The reason I ask is b/c I'm thinking about picking up another a pair of 2 channel speakers for a large room I have. I'm running 5 Eggleston Andra IIs in my 5.1 setup and love the sound of the Egglestons. The Titus, at half the price and half the weight might be a more practical alternative. I do have a an affinity for line array speakers. It's also significantly shorter, which will make my wife happy. I also love the fact that they are tri-ampable, which would allow me to use my TACT gear to set all the crossovers.
