So I visit my favorite audio website today and what do I see, the forum squished to the left side with giant ads taking up almost half the page!!!

What the hell??? Is it just me? Do I have some sort of setting checked that I can turn off?

Hey Darien,

I'm seeing it as well. I've asked Clint what is going on but have not heard back yet. For some reason the ad's down the right hand side are not pulling in the correct size.

Glad it's not just me. I hope this isn't some heavy-handed ad strategy.

Definitely not. It is some kind of configuration issue. With the sites I make the user configures what ad size is supposed to go into a particular spot. It is probably a change that the ad company made in how they are porting out the ad's and an update may need to be made on this site.

I thought it was just me. I rebooted hoping it would clear up any issues I had. Obviously, it didn't.

I'm using Firefox and all is normal here. Well.... I mean as normal as it's ever going to get. :D

Yeah, clearly traditional banner ads are going in spots that narrow or square ads should be. It'll be fixed before long. In the meantime you can either just deal with it or enable AdBlock to get rid of them.

Seriously, I have no life.
Firefox + Add Block Plus = no change in the look of the page.

I saw that stuff on my phone this morning, but not on my computers (like others, I run Firefox and Adblock Plus).

I'll talk this site up all day long to people that I know, but I just refresh "New Posts" too often to deal with the ads. :D

as of this post, mine is fine with the vertical banner.

im guessing with the screenshot above, a horizontal banner code got into the right side table.
such is the price of a variable forum table (benefit is a widescreen (high pixel) gets more of the forum in the screen)

While we're on ths subject...

Has anyone else noticed that Best Buy banner ad that pops up on the bottom inch of the screen? I can barely see the "X" to kill it on the right on my laptop and if you roll over it it opens up a window.

And, even when you kill it, it keeps on reappearing.

I can see making a buck but, really now. This is tacky, tacky, tacky.
