I'm really excited to upgrade to Atmos. I think it will really help create a more spacious sound stage in my theater, especially with 10 foot ceilings.

I'm interested in what the future holds for quality vs price. Between svs and elac, the prices have gotten to were I can afford a 7.1 home theater and not sacrifice as much quality. Hopefully it just gets better and better

I'm looking forward future AV Receivers that may start to incorporate "HD Base T" technology to allow for separate room configurations via ethernet connections rather than long hdmi cables.

I'm also interested in future Audyssey calibration advancements.

Really excited to experience Dts-X and Atmos!
OK so I had to append my post after seeing mrb.55's post. I would love to see HD Base T technology in home A/V equipment!

Looking forward to continued reviews of Internet direct manufacturers as I get closer to building a home theater. As a specific technology I would have to say would be the battle of the next generation sound formats DTS-X / Dolby atmos.

As with lots of others I am most excited about the new DTS:X and atmos technology. Would love to demo the headphone tech as well for movie and music on the go. (or when family is sleeping!)

Nice 5.1 package. It would be perfect in my family room! :)

I'm looking forward to more quality movie viewing with my family and friends in our basement home theater I worked on last year. I finally got to put my Klipsch Chorus speakers, purchased originally in 1990 and still sound amazing, to more use then just stereo music listening. My wife wasn't so sure how it would all turn out but she eventually got into the idea of picking decorations and other elements of the decor.

I did much of my research from your site and videos to understand about the design, layout and components. I went with the Denon AVR-X5200W, Oppo BDP-103D(love the darbee algorithm), Sony VPL-HW55ES, 110" Screen Innovations Zero Edge Slate(love the LED lights, really helps with eye strain and looks totally awesome!) and Control4 to tie things together. I added a Klipsch R-112SW sub and some used Klipsch Synergy 3 series speakers to round out the 7.1 for now. Your articles and videos really helped me get a pretty decent final result. The home theater project was a challenge but well worth the effort.

I'm excited to see traditional speaker brands adopting the WiSA standard for wireless home theater systems. A lot of my friends don't like the idea of any wires (besides power cables and HDMI cables) in their home theater, which makes the WiSA technology appealing to them.

I excited about more immersive surround formats, higher resolution audio, the increasing quality of streaming services and just audio technology in general in that, at least in regards to digital, things grow smaller and more powerful on an almost daily basis.
