Which among these two is a better choice and why?

I was looking for a pair of 2.0 active speakers to be connected to a laptop/desktop.
Connect Speakers/Headphones out from laptop to the speaker's Input. Speakers must have an In Built amp.

Usage, mostly for internet videos (speech) and music. Movies from time to time.

The new A-2s have a usb dac and is more flexible in terms of inputs and outputs. The Swans are a bigger speaker (close to the size of the audioengine A5s). I am not a fan of speakers that size for a computer near field set up as I found that they didn't image as well as I like. YMMV. If your budget can handle it, I'd get the emotiva airmotiv 4. There is a newer version out but I have the older model and it kicks a@#.

I just had to chime in -- I have the A2s and I absolutely love them. They are worth every penny and more. Just get the DS1 stands, and if you really want, a little yoga block/sound foam underneath helps even more. However, I recently upgraded to the A5+ and they are awesome. I'm still adjusting to the slight sound difference -- I think the A5+ are a little brighter than the A2s. But I'd HIGHLY recommend the A2s. They are fantastic little speakers that defy their size.
