Audessy mic

Should I upgrade the mic that comes with Denon x3400 to run audessy. Will it yield better results than the cheap plastic one with skinny wire.

The mic is specific to the task and has its own calibration file built into the avr so YMMV with another mic. You could always get a good measurment mic and use software like REW to see what Audyssey did more accurately, tho.
