Greetings collective.
I picked up these Focal Chora 826-D in 2025 to replace a pair of Magnepans that wore out. I should have done my best to replace the ribbons, but I didn't unfortunately. These speakers have Atmos speakers which seem to be okay for movies, but for music they're lacking in the face of the Maggie's wall of sound. Now I'm back in the market for another set of Maggies since for all the reasons there are.
What I'm wishing for is advise for placing the Atmos speakers since placing them on top of the right and left mains isn't an option for Maggies. What do you think is the best work around for this? Is it realistic to use floor stands to mount right and left Atmos speakers on? To be sure I'm running a Denon x8500h
I've got my eyes on a pair of Magnepan MG 1.7i on ebay.
