I have a home theater room measuring 15' wide X 22' X 8' high. I have a 7.2.4 Atmos setup. My ceiling speakers are about 45 degree angle from the setting position. So a pair of speakers are about 4 feet behind me and a pair about 4 feet in front of me. I installed these per Dolby spec. In an Audioholics YouTube video Gene talked about the best is to have the ceiling about 9-10' high. So I wonder if one pair of the Dolby atmos speakers, probably the back pair should be closer to the setting position? I think the system sounds ok but wonder if the atmos sound could be better if a pair of speakers are closer to the setting area. What's your experience?
