Ok so I just got my Pioneer 1014, and I have two new cerwin vega CLSC-12's for my front's (I know they aren't good for home theater but I needed them for parties) and I am getting the SVS PB10 subwoofer but now I have to decide on a center channel and rear surrounds. I was all set on the Athena ASC-1, and the Athena BS2's but then I saw the Polk CSi3 and the RTi4's... Does anyone have any ideas on these???

p.s. my room is 14 X 14

Thanx

The center should be timbrely matched (minimaly) to the front left/right speakers. Although it's not mandatory for the system to function, it will preserve the reality of the imaging across the front plane.

To assure proper timbre matching, it's recommended thqat you purchase from the same manufacturer and line as the other two front speakers.

On that note, I have the Athena C1 and love it. Of course, I'm prejeduced because it's flanked by a (timbre matched) pair of F1's and a pair of B2's for the rear surrounds.

Why not set up the Cerwin Vegas as your "B" speakers and get matching speakers for home theater? Bookshelf fronts (plus a sub) would work fine for the size of your room. You could even set them on top of the CV's.
