i've been patiently awaiting for these for 4 days now. i highly recommend using audio advisor for any and all future sales. fast and very knowledgable. my only problem now is finding a energy c-c100 center. amazon is kinda high right now. i can't belive i missed a $140 with free shipping on ebay for those centers. stupid me. anyways, when the shipment comes in i will post pics and give a brief review. any suggestions on breaking in new speakers. i figured i would just play some bass test cd's with 40hz-60hz forabout 10 hours straight...

Congrats on the new speakers! I look forward to seeing the pics, and good luck with getting a great deal on a center channel.

I just hope this doesn't turn into an argumentative thread about speaker break-in. Perhaps the recent one on the topic tired everyone out. :)

My advice on breaking in your speakers is this: listen to them. That's it. Just listen to them. If speakers really do break in, then that will happen naturally as you use them.

Just my two cents. They are, after all, your speakers. You can do whatever you want with them. I mean that sincerely.

If your concern about speaker break-in just put a CD on repeat at a decent level while your at work for a day.

Not that I believe in it, it's just what I would do.:p

what if i get a AA battery and plug it in to the speaker terminal? if you reverse polarity it will cause the speaker to go in... reverse it again and the speaker will move out. just sit behind the speakers and poke the wire on the batter for 8 hours. a battery will make a speaker flex all the way the fvck out. it's funny as hell to me :D

Careful, there are some people taking Audiophile to a whole new level... I did a pilot study on the subject. You can read about it here:

Clearly these people are sick and need to be dealt with. I certainly hope this isn't how the OP breaks in his new speakers :D.

Congrats on the new speaker break it in with good music.

True, true. Some people like ketchup on their steak. I sure as heck wouldn't do it, but it's their steak. :D

EDIT: Oh, geese. I should have checked out your links first! Hee, hee.

That is the best possible advice concerning break in.

I have had some Athena speakers in the past that I was really happy with, so hopefully these will sound great! Congrats!

alright... i got about 6 hours of solid music play in these bad boys. still haven't tried to really crank them. i've noticed now that the sound has really opened up. the kick-drum and tom tom blast beats are nothing but stella. ran on 2ch mode without a sub these speakers sound great. later tonight i will do a sound check for ht. soooo far, i am very happy with these speakers. for $299 a pair, their pretty hard to beat for that price. i really appreciate everybodies help. really... i am!!!!

again, i will post pics soon
