Hey guys, New to the game here.Been doing alot of reading and seems like all of these are in my price range. I am planning on purchasing the new Onkyo 605 next week but I am in a quandry on which direction to go on the fronts. For now they will play two channel but a HSU sub will be added along with rears and a center channel in the near future. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have heard the Polks and like the soudn of them but not the others.

Thanks

IMO the Athena's are Not in the same league (build or sound quality) as the RTi8's. Have not heard those Energy's.

I personally think the Polk RTi line is bright and unpleasant to listen to.

I would audition the Energy's and Athenas.

I own some athena audition speakers:). I don't enjoy them as much, anymore. I auditioned the RTi8's and the athena LS-500 at future shop. The newer LS employs similar drivers as the Energy C's. I preferred the polks to the LS for home theather. Since that time I've auditioned the C's and would chose them over the LS line, as well. I was not able to audition the C's and the rti's because the polks weren't available. However, I'll only base my opinion on what I had heard and I'd choose Energy c500's.
