Athena As-F2 $500 CDN ; good price??

I can get a set of floor model ( used since Feb ) for $500CDN ( about $370 US)

Is it a good price?

Should I be concerned about them being used as a demo set in a home theatre set up?

Is there anything I should watch ( or listen ) for?

Any advise is greatly appreciated; thanks

i bought the f1's off the floor I still have warranty and what not so i wasnt to worried. For the f1's and the c1 center I paid 480 canadian. 500 isnt a bad deal if you ask me.

Five hundred?! Crap, I just paid six hundred for my F2s!

I think it's a pretty good price; I'd grab it if I were in need of some good floorstanders.

If they've been used as demos, then they've already been "broken in". Athena recommends a fifty hour "breaking in period", so by now, they probably sound quite good.

I've only had my F2s for about a month, and I love 'em. I've never heard any problems with them at all, and actually think they sound amazing. Why there are so few reviews of these elegant looking babies is beyond me.

My amp is a yamaha htr-5730; velodyne dps-10 sub and point 5 surround speakers. All this equipment is in a large room about 700 sqft, with 10 ft cielling.

I do, personally. The very few reviews I've read of Athena's Audition line (of which the AS-F2 is a part) is that they'd be a great deal at twice the price. And I love the way they sound.

Of course, I have no experience with other speakers. These (and my quasi-HT setup) are my first.
