Asus MB + JVC Receiver

Hi,

I hope this is the place 4 this q

I have JVC Receiver (RX-5042) and Asus P4P800-e deluxe MB with 7.1 and s/pdif out

when we play DVD movie with Dolby digital we get the 5.1CH

we don't know why but we can only get linear PCM for 2CH from the s/pdif out

can you help?

Do you always get 2ch PCM on the s/pdif output, even if it's a DVD with 5.1? Or is it only when you play music?
