only one pedophile...

off the street of Bangkork. But millions are coming everyday and remain...that's what the title of any newspaper should read. Of course I would not be surprised to learn that he's the guy who killed Jon Benet.

Anyone thinks that guy's face looks a bit weird? A bit too plastic. I think that guy has some psych issues.

Agreed..I got this feeling first time they published his picture. The same feeling I had when I watched Superman.

He reminded me a LOT of Gary Neuman who sang "Cars" in the 80s

That bastard Karr should be sent back to Thailand... All he wanted was 15 min on TV.

J garcia, you have a PM. Personally I am not sure if this guy did it, but its seems as if its a media ploy. Could he have done it?, but wait all the media attention and newspapers and lavish treatment onboard the airplane and everybody talking is a sure sure way for people to buy and watch television stations.

This guy should serve in a maximum security prison with a cell mate called "Bubba" for all the money he's cost taxpayers.
Ha! The genius who decided to have this guy forcibly imported from across the globe at my tax-money's expense should be pistol whipped before being arrested himself for dumbassery.

My apartment was robbed 6 years ago. Lets start arresting random people in Tibet and shipping them over here for fingerprint analysis.

I don't claim to understand everything about the case, but this sure does reek of incompetence. Could they not have done a DNA test BEFORE they imported him for ~$50,000+?

If you look in the dictionary under BUNGLE, it will have a picture of the Colorado PD handling this case. They will be used as and example of what NOT to do... I can't remember ever hearing about a case with more highly visible mistakes made during a single investigation.

Folks,
Remember he did have his facial hair removed in preparation for his, uh "chopadictomy"... (to quote Mr. Limbaugh...) That could explain the plastic look... Also the psych issues...

As for having to bring him all the way back from Thailand, I don't really agree with that, that was kind of a dumb thing to do, ok a REALLY dumb thing to do, but I guess there was no other way according to the District Attorney:

"The district attorney defended the handling of the case, saying there was no way to take a cheek swab from Karr without alerting him that he was under investigation."

Just my two cents...

Um, he ADMITTED it...I think he maybe suspected just a little bit that he would be under investigation.

They had MONTHS in which they could have done the DNA work and any number of ways to have gotten a sample in that time.... These guys are today's equivalent of the Keystone Cops.

They did get his DNA and observed him. But, they needed better DNA, a swab type job, not left over saliva on a cup, etc.

And, to do all the legal work there would have been much more expensive.
The translation of legal documents costs a small fortune per page. That alone paid for the flight and more.

The Lindbergh kidnapping had about 300 confessions. Some kind of sickness to confess to something you didn't do, voluntarily:D

Soe people will do anything for attention! I guess he got his wish.

It boggles my mind how police departments screw up cases, and this one must be the worst of all screw ups, except for the cases where some poor sap goes off to jail for 20 years, and get a new lawyer, who does some checking and finds the real guy in a couple of days, then has to fight for 3 years to get the guy out of jail because the DA in the case fights all the way.

It seems like every so many years, there's a case like this where the cops bungle it from the start, and it just keeps on going and going. There are probably a dozen people in jail for murder right now, convicted in cases where there is really pretty evidence of games being played by the police and/or prosecutors. One woman is in jail for life without parole, can't think of her name now for the life of me, that probably never met the supposed "hit man" she hired. My favorite piece of "evidence" one of the detectives found was a perfectly clean, new appearing T-shirt, that was supposedly hidden under a rock for 6 MONTHS, in Alabama! But the real thing that hung her was when the DA brought out guys she had past affairs with, capping it off with the last one, a black guy. The small town southern jury turned right then. So, she rots in jail, while the "hit man" will get out soon.

There was a local guy who was in for 15 years for murdering his girl friend. It took two years for his lawyer to get a DNA test run. Oops, it wasn't him! He gets out, but they are still messing with him saying that they aren't sure he wasn't there when it happened. Until they fold, he cant get any kind of restitution. He has all kinds of health problems, and I think the DA and county are trying to hold off until he dies. Nice people we elect, and elect and elect here.. .
