These types of speakers have always interested me. Anyone know of some kits or well known projects that are similar to these types of speakers

Either one but something the size of those MK's is perfect.

Check out Selah Audio, specifically the Custom Line Arrays section. My jaw hit the floor when I saw some of the arrays he's built. He uses drivers that normally scare people off due to price in a 2 way. For example, one of his arrays has 8 Scan-Speak Revelator 7" woofers and 8 Fountek ribbon tweeters (and that's only one enclosure).

Very cool but way out of my budget. I am looking for something that is close to those MK's in design but at a builders budget instead of the 1500 each MK wants.
