I think a Silver-Gold alloy along with an enriched Uranium braid shield would do the trick. The U is ultra dense, and the radiation would help keep the electrons on their path down the cable.

Don't forget to make "Coffee" a registered trademark so you can try and sue anyone that uses.

Jaxvon, enriched Uranium is totally unsafe. We'd have to go depleted. That would mean 100% paldium wire coated with depleted uranium, and infused with 100% Columbian goodness, add cream and sugar to taste and we've got a hit.
 
I would think super-fine ground 100% Colombian coffee would make an excellent noise reducer. Here's the Master Plan:

Gold-Silver-Paladium wire in overly-complex high capacitance geometry
Superfine ground coffee surrounding each wire, encased in "Virgin Teflon", then more ground coffee and Italian Silk filling to hold the wires in the correct geometry. That whole mess then wrapped in more Italian Silk, another Virgin Teflon jacket, 4 Depleted U shields, a pure Carbon fiber jacket, an extra thick layer of Virgin Teflon, and finally a double layer of flame and Chemical resistant techflex.

Don't forget, we've gotta have some Audioholics GLOB technology in there too.
 
We are going to be so rich and can we say the uranium adds power to the speakers too by exciting the electrons passing through the wires?

At least the maker had the gutts to post and continue his hyperbol, that one must listen in his system to really know. I say total bs, hogwash :D
Just today that New England Journal of medicine came out with a study of that plant Ecchinacia and how it is useless at what it was claimed to do, yet people continue to defend it with all the satisfied customers. LOL :D
 
Cast Marble?

I dug around on the marigo labs website and found a blurb on the Green Mountain Speakers. I may be off base here, but I don't remember ever coming across "Cast Marble" in my materials class in college. Maybe they developed a new element...any one have a periodic table?
 
Don't want to sound like plain old cultured marble...

So I guess they had to try and play up their proprietary "cast marble" instead of saying it's made of marble dust and plastic resin (i.e. the same stuff as your bathroom sink).
 
I'll have to bash the copy writer on this one. Whoever wrote the copy could have made the speaker cabinet construction paragraph sound way more convicing if they dove into the cast polymer world. There's all sorts of big words they could have thrown at you to at least make it sound more believeable.

On second thought, I think I'm wasting too much time at night analyzing snake oil advertisements...

$485, thats a steal, so for the best possible audio setup, you need that 50x5 Teac Receiver I found for like $700, that volume know for it, and a special mat to set it on, and it will be the most wonderful audio system ever devised.
 
Do people really buy thas BS? I cannot believe I actually read that! $485 for a chunk of wood!?!?! If those guys don't end up in jail for fraud, I'm obviously in the wrong business.

BTW, for entertaining "debates" centering on the GMA speakers, run a search over at ecoustics. I finally gave up on that board because of a couple of GMA fanatic knuckleheads. To me it seems fitting those speakers are offered on the same website as the BS mats. But at least the GMA website doesn't look like it was built by a 5-year old any more.

BTW, wouldn't those mats actually cause many players to not even play the disks any more? I know some have reputations for being picky over paper stickers on the disks.

Back into real products, Siltech and Analysis Plus both make gold or gold alloy cables. I've even seen one company that makes cables with carbon conductors. I really would like to see how those measure.
 
I used to frequent www.hometheaterhifi.com on a regular basis. Now it appears that I am banned. They made some fowl comments about this site and they also claimed that audioholics had plagerized some of their articles or something. I was not aware of the spat that was going on between these two sites.

I made a comment about how unprofessional it was for the Administrator of a site to slander the competiton. Now he has deleted my comments and removed my posting privlidges on the site. From his posts it is very apparent that he is a totally unprofessional individual who needs both a better education and therapy on anger management.

Here's what he posted:

"The statements made by Mitch57 show how low the Audioclowns group can go, so I deleted them. His posting privileges have been revoked although I am sure he will just reregister and try more failed attempts to intimidate. It is amazing that any company would advertise on Audioclowns. Perhaps it is time to talk to their sponsors about certain behaviors.

This guy is so vain he thinks I'm actually an employee of www.audioholics.com. Rest assured, I am not an employee and have no afiliation with the audiholics site other then as a member. I will be sure to let other readers know about the unprofessional behavior of the editor of the secrets web site.

When someone asks me for recommendations of good audio/video information sites to visit I will be sure to steer them to this site and warn them against frequenting the secrets site.

The secrets editor can be described in one word "Childish"!

Oh well. One would think he would e-mail/PM you to say something first, rather than just banning you. Heck, I posted some stuff about Analysis plus as well as an e-mail and picture they sent me. However, since it was only to me, I made sure I could post it (stupidly after I posted it). They wanted it removed, so I did so. No problems.
