Don't have much money so I'm in the market for some bookshelf speakers that cost no more than $200. I recently came across these Acoustic Research S10's from the Stature Series and I must say , it intrigues me to want to bring back something from another era of audio.

But I'm wondering...I know that AR actually stopped home audio speakers them a long time ago so I don't even know what year these are from. In addition to that years ago I had also heard that the old AR was sold and the new company (whoever that was) continued to produce speakers with the AR logo on them.
So my question is, are these AR's from "the good ol' days" or made after they were taken over by someone? To be honest, even if they are from the original company, I've actually never heard a true AR, I'm just going on name recognition only, but ebay does have these at a decent price. $170
Considering the fact that I may be getting too nostalgic here and not concentrating enough on finding a truly decent and hopefully even modern speaker for the price I mentioned, I'm also considering the Infinity Primus 153s's for $180 and a long shot backup behind that would be the Energy CB-5's at $180, but I've had Energy's before and while impressed, they just sound to me like many speakers of today, just a rock box.
