Are my speakers blown?

I had a guy from Shaw come in to fix my PVR for me, and when he was here I had to pop out for a bit. I came back and he was finished, and all my speakers had been moved. He left, and I turned on my receiver, and surely no sound came out. I found that when he moved the speakers all the cables had been ripped from their inputs/banana plugs. The speakers sound off now, including the sub which sounds really quiet.

My question is how do I test all my speakers and receiver to see if anything is wrong? Also, only the top speaker seems to work on my floor standing speakers. I get no bass from my KEF Q900 (the bottom speaker is completely silent, second from bottom is audible, and third from bottom is very quiet). I only have speaker cable feeding the bottom input on the speaker. I assumed the top one was for optional bi-amping. Any input is appreciated!

Do you have an AVR or pre pro? What brand and model?

Theres always the battery test where you touch the leads of your speaker wires to the appropriate ends of a AA battery, if nothing happens when you do this then something is amiss.

The top is for optional bi-amping (although useless). You don't have any other speakers to test the receiver with? If not the battery test may be your best bet. Even if a friend has a speaker you could borrow, you really only need one to see if the receiver is functioning correctly.

Did you double check all of the banana plugs to make sure the wires are making good contact with the plugs?
