With the two diffused bombs found in London today, I can't help but feel that a war of this kind is on its way to both sides of the Atlantic. I'm glad that authorities in the UK are good at dealing with these kind of threats (mostly because of the IRA), because they probably saved a lot of innocent civilians last night.
Is this our future? Isreal has already lived through car bombs and suicide bombers for a generation, and it doesn't show much signs of stopping anytime soon. I can't see military action solved the enormous problems of the middle east, and with the world getting smaller and smaller, those turmoils are going to spread to Western countries sooner than we think.
What do we do? How do we respond? I don't want my children and their children to live in fear, but I'm afraid that's where the world is headed. I know these are huge questions, and I don't expect anyone to solve them here, just mainly had to get all that off my chest.
