Aperion Sub Vs Velodyne

I just got the Velodyne DLS4000 (12", next up from the 3750) & I can tell you it's a decent sub. A little on the large side but very capable. Hadn't seen a 12", 200 watt sub for less ($349 delivered). Good bang for buck.

It's hard to go head to head with velodyne. All things taken into consideration, including price. The subs I use are from Reel Acoustics. For the money I have not found any to compare with them

That Aperion sub is nice looking, no way around it but it only goes down to 35 hz and weighs 27 lbs, the Velodyne goes down to 28hz, weighs 53 lbs, is well over $100 cheaper even though it usually retails for $100 more and it has a remote. No more getting up and you can tune in the sub from your couch. I'd go with the Velodyne in this case. I think you could get better bass for $500 but not $270 delivered.
