Unfortunately I'm going to have to wait till the next sale cuz I just can't spare the money right now and am moving soon. Hopefully they'll have one for Christmas, but considering the things take MONTHS to ship (which is beyond my understanding) the Christmas sale would have to start like now!

If I do eventually order something down the road, does it matter if I order over the phone or online? I think I heard something about maybe haggling down the price of shipping or something over the phone, am I imagining things or..?

p.s. enjoy your x-subs you bastards!

Take heart, kazza2ud, the x-sub does not typically take months to get. In fact, when they started the sale they had them in stock. The current backorder is due to high sales volume due to the low price, as well as their removing all x-subs from inventory for a double QC as a result of a bad batch of amps.

When you are ready to order one of your own, hopefully they will be in stock!

You can order over the phone with a representative or online. If you order online you get an estimate of what the shipping will be, it is not a definite amount. If you order over the phone I would imagine you can get a more accurate number for the shipping from their customer service. If you order online or over the phone when your order is processed shipping will be exactly the same, you cannot haggle the price for shipping.

Something to consider (which I didn't see mentioned, but I just skimmed the past two pages) is that you won't be charged until the item ships. So, if you wanted to wait for two months because you didn't have the funds...and it's going to take a couple of months until it ships...then you could order one now at the sale price, and not pay until a couple months from now anyway.

Yeah, you'd be buying with some risk because you don't know when they'll be back in stock, but they might have a better idea if you call them. Just a thought.

Is there really such a thing?

(as an apartment friendly sub)

I'd highly recommend not using a sub in an apartment. At low volumes you won't even miss it, and your neighbours will stay friendly.

Exactly. That's why I voted earlier that kazza save up for a transducer. :D

My friend recently angered his neighbor with his ultra-puny HTIB at night. Just video gaming.
