Anyone own Ascend 170SEs or 340SEs?

I'm looking to upgrade the bedroom system, and these guys are on my short list. I have yet to see pics of the new versions, so I was wondering how different they look, if at all. The Ascend site doesn't have pics of the new versions yet. How do you like the way they sound? I'd be interested in a demo if anyone happened to be local too. Thanks.

If you poke around in their forum you'll find some SE pics. Not a tremendous difference, meaning, you'd have to see them side by side to really notice.

The pix you see on the site are the SEs. The only changes were the drivers, tweeter, crossover, and tweeter cut out size on the 340's baffle.

I haven't heard the SEs to tell you how they sound.

Did you try the Frapper map on the Ascend Forum for someone local that will let you listen?

The site says the pics are old, but from what I gathered the differences were not so significant cosmetically. *edit - the site shows the SE version of the 170 but not the 340 aparently. Just registered for the Ascend forum to see if I can find someone to let me come audition the SEs.

Some of the guys might be closer to your place and will let you audition their speakers. If you can drive down here to Los Angeles I know somebody that just bought the 340SE and 170 SE for surround. I live just about 10 minutes drive to Ascend factory but unfortunately they dont have a showroom that you can listen to their spekaers.
