Just curious to know any thoughts on them?

cant find any legit reviews. Just basic thoughts.

Asking cause local audio shop got a pair of demos for 1000, I see they are normally 2k a pair.

Im contemplating if I should go with my Elac uni-fi 2.0. Which is basically 2020 vs a 2017 product, not that that may play a roll. But the Elacs probably caught up technology wise.

Your thoughts?

Speaker technology doesn't really change that drastically.
KEF Q950 audition I did 2 years ago, along with R900 was pretty solid. Not the right speakers for me, but they sounded real nice. :) Half off is a great deal on those.

Go listen to them and establish your own review
I don’t got the Elac 2.0 uf52 and I can listen to the Q950, but there’s no reference lol. Been trying to locate the Elacs for demo, but even then it would need to be together. So I can pick up on any differences.

I know the best choice is to make my own decisions with my own ears, but currently out of reach

What did you not like about them?

Specs are fairly identical, GUESSING looks like the Q950’s are harder to drive. Higher sensitivity, 8 ohm 3.8 Nom, Elac 6 ohm 5.6.

But that really means nothing, just in terms of my AVR. I went with the Elac Unifi 2.0 over Unifi because the Unifi are 4 ohms.

Make a reference to whatever is available. Sometimes you just got to take a chance

I ended up with a touch of fatigue in that audition. It could be just me. It coud be that the speakers were toed in rather than perpendicular, but that soured me on KEF. Again, I stress, they sounded nice.

I've always heard that the lower end ELACs are tame/restrained... a bit too polite. I had hoped to go back and audition the Adantes, but did not get the chance before I found Philharmonic Audio.

Adantes killer man, not that they good, just out of my budget even half off. Just basically budget bsing right now.

My room is small, and honestly I really like the regular Unifi 1st gen. Had a chance to hear them, Andrew Jones said he designed the Unifi 2.0 off of the Adantes with his presentation of them.

I just set up my bookshelves and with speaker stands it’s pretty tight in here already, and the base on the stands is 16x16 and I got 2 inches under my tv stand. Half inch gap between the speaker stand woofer.

Got too much going on in my room, probably best I avoided them
