Finally got around to watching the Pilot last night on the DVR.... it was okay, nothing to really write home about. It's a cool concept, don't get me wrong, but I didn't think the pilot was all that well executed. The episode seemed to take forever- about 20 minutes in both my wife and I had our laptops open and were only half watching. I recorded the second episode as well, so hopefully it improves.

Is it just me, or does the show seem like Alias redux??

This was my impression as well.

"Denethor" is John Noble, interesting actor. John Noble listed this show as a reason he would not be participating in the possible "bridge" movie between Guillermo del Torro's Hobbit adaptation and the fellowship of the ring.

Can someone tell me what "The Pattern" is... or is that the whole point of this show?
We're only 2 episodes in. How the hell do we know? But the pattern seems to be in reference to a bunch of weird phenomena around the earth that are in some way connected. Of course, they haven't told us what that connection is yet.

It seems like this show is kind of an X-Files reboot.

I missed the pilot but caught the second episode in HD, pretty impressed with the production value as well. It wasn't as good as I hoped, but it's good enough I'll try to catch the next few episodes to see how it goes or if it grabs my attention more as it progresses.

I didn't want to hijack this thread, but is there a general tv thread, or anyone interested in one? There's been quite a few shows lately that have been getting my attention. It wasn't too long ago that I watched nothing on TV at all, now I suddenly have about 5 or 6 shows. Would be interested in seeing what others like.
