Got around to watching Fringe last night, thought it was interesting. Hard telling whats around the corner. Pretty neat camera work. Anyone checking it out? Think there's an encore on Sunday.

I only watch shows when they come out on DVD/Blu-ray. But FRINGE is definitely on my WANT LIST whenever it comes out on BD.

I thought it was all right. I'll give it a few more episodes. I liked how the names of the cities would float in the picture. It had suprisingly good sound for a TV show. The car crash at the end sounded pretty cool.

It's already got that "Lost" feel to it though; asking more questions than it answers.

If it winds up like Lost I'll eventually get bored with its constant meandering and the apparent sense that JJ Abrams is just kind of hoping someone will toss him a clue. I more or less got tired of Lost 1/3 way through the 4th season after the 3rd season had mostly disappointed me.

Still, I'm giving it (Fringe) a chance!

It keeps wandering because they have to come up with some more crap to keep it going, just like most series of that nature. It starts off great and then they have to keep coming up with something new so the story doesn't just end and it usually ends up losing the flavor that made it interesting in the first place.

We will see...I liked the first episode but it's the rest of them that count. They pulled out the stops on production and set up a situation much like the X Files, but it's hard to think of redoing that. Will the guy in the coma come back? Just how mad is the mad scientist? BTW, did anybody notice that the mad scientist is Denethor (LOTR) in disguise?

I can't take on any more TV shows. House, Office, Scrubs, Top Gear, Smallville. Maxed out.

That's why they have DVR's!!!
With that said I'm debating weather to quit work to get caught up on my shows or just start deleting things, lol.

I thought Fringe was really good and am look forward to more, just hope it stay that interesting.

Pinks all out, Pass time, History detectives, Fringe, Lost, 24, Prison break, ANTM (ya I'm ashamed), Cops, Breaking Bad, Star Gate (watched the entire 12 years in 3 months), Atlantis, think there are a few I forgot, plus every movie ever made, twice.

The guy in the coma -- didn't he die at the end? Too bad, I always liked Mark Valley. He was hilarious in the show Keen Eddie. He had that great catch phrase, "How you doin', I'm Eddie . . . how you like me so far?"

I sorta liked the pilot of Fringe, but I dunno. With the quality of the pilot, I'll give it a season to show me its stuff.

cheers,

Which ones?

This is the most TV viewing I can do. I get so into shows I re-watch each episode numerous times. I also watch lots of movies, so that takes up time as well. Plus, I have other hobbies that can't all be done sitting on my a$$ :D

I caught the encore presentation tonight. Pretty decent. It didn't interest me enough to automatically make my gotta-watch-it list, but I'll have to check out what it's competing against on Tuesday nights. I don't have anything plugged in that can record, so I just take what I get. If it's up against NCIS or Reaper, it's probably not going to make the list.

Watched the 2nd episode last night, enjoyed it as well. Its different, creepy, freaky, mysterious. Glad they wrap up the episode story, but yet there is the bigger mystery looming.

"Denethor" is John Noble, interesting actor. John Noble listed this show as a reason he would not be participating in the possible "bridge" movie between Guillermo del Torro's Hobbit adaptation and the fellowship of the ring.

Can someone tell me what "The Pattern" is... or is that the whole point of this show?
