I was looking to get the 1015tx from JR.com and was wondering if price wise it's worth it? considering the shipping and was wondering if I'll actually get charged the taxes once it get's here or if I might get away with out paying the taxes?

Anyone have experience with ordering from them? or anyone else in the states and having it delivered.

I have boughten a few things from J&R because of the deals Ive gotten. Last one was a Onkyo receiver. You just have to figure out how much locally you can get it for against the price with shipping. You only get charged taxes if they have a store in your state. Not in your state, you dont pay taxes, that goes with everything on the net. Thats why there looking into how to charge taxes, the government it, because of all the online taxes states dont get etc. But I live in NY where J&R also is and with taxes they were still cheaper. Great shipping they have also along with letting you know when it shipped etc. all on the web site once you log in!

On the federal tax forms they ask you if you buy online. Yeah, right, like I'm gonna tell them!!

I've bought three digital cameras there since they'll price match with most online companies. Shipping is sometimes free, and there's no tax to pay. Great, great company to deal with.

You know there is a new Pioneer 1016 coming out shortly.
$399 is a decent deal on that unit, as Ubid is selling a refurbished one shipped for $350 with a 90 day warranty.

Here's another decent deal - similar to the 1015, new, but only with a 90 day warranty. Pioneer VSX-9100TX: $349 and free shipping.
