Anybody buy a TV from Butterflyphoto.com?

I purchased a Fuji camera from butterflyphoto.com and was pretty happy with the overall transaction. But, has anybody purchased a TV from them?

They have the Sony SXRD 60" (A2000) for $2088.00 + 237 shipping. That's about $600 less than BB or CC if you add tax.

I was just wondering if anyone had problems with them?

I bought my Denon receiver from them............No problem. They shipped it FedX. and I got it in two days!
I wouldn't buy a 'high priced' Tv from anyone without a 'manufacturer's
warranty' though!
If you get the warranty........ I would buy from them!

I have to admit, I was skeptical when I got my Yamaha RX 2700 but not only was it cheaper, they shipped it in 2 days. Very satisfied, and I bought the extra warrenty since they're not certified dealers. Overall, I'm very happy with them.

I did order my TV from tvauthority.com and I have to say I'm extremely dissapointed. I ordered it last Friday and I was told I might not expect the TV (a Panny THX60U) until the 27th, and not before thanksgiving! Ridiculous! I'm very very dissapointed, and I can't see that I can recommend them, given how this transaction is progressing (or NOT progressing). However, a lot of people seem to like them, so go figure.

As for butterfly, they're also a certified cnet store, for what that's worth.

With Thanksgiving next week and Xmas approaching, the shipping times will be longer! More people are buying 'online', so FedX and UPS will be even more extended.
I just bought two small items(in stock) from Cabela's, and they told me it would arrive on 11/27!

Titlest1( must be a golfer).......
You do get the warranty. Read shipping section at their website!
If you buy it......... inspect the TV before you sign! Otherwise you cannot return the TV to them, but this is 'standard practice' anyway!

JK, the delay doesn't seem to be only on Fedex/UPS's end. The order hasn't even LEFT the wharehouse yet! I don't think the delivery carrier has been even notified to pick it up (I'm apparently supposed to get an email when this happens).

Sometimes 'online retailers' tell 'non-truths' or 'LIES'.....:rolleyes:
They will tell you the item is in stock, and it isn't......... how would we know????? .............:rolleyes:
I guess we just have to live with it!

I ordered the Denon DVD3930CI Friday afternoon, and was just emailed by Butterflyphoto asking if I wanted the 5 year warranty for $199. As a nonauthorized Denon dealer, the Denon warranty is automatically voided. $40 a year warranty for 5 years - I bought it.

I'd consider buying your tv from an authorized dealer that you can actually drive to. The reasons: 1. It's an expensive purchase. 2. It's easier dealing with a local store than an on-line merchant in case of problems (refer to reasons 1 and 3). 3.We're near the holidays, things take longer to ship and are more prone to arrive damaged (refer to reason 2 and 1.) and you could have it tonight, that my friend is the best reason of all!
