If you're simply trying to pick a center channel based on how many watts it will take, I'd probably go with a sub driver.
I honestly doubt you've blown the speaker with too many watts. Keep in mind that your amp doesn't just pump out 200 watts because it can... There's a lot of variables that would determine the wattage being continuously used... Either way, TYPICALLY, speakers get blown because they don't have enough wattage from the amplifier and when it begins clipping, the signal becomes too much for the speaker to handle. OR, you're just playing it too loud and exceeding the mechanical limits of the speaker-
