Any new info on the Denon PrePro at CES?

Seems like ages have passed since they discussed the new Pre Pro from Denon at CES and I'm anxious for any updates. Has anyone heard anything more about this unit?

I believe there is a model called the a7100 already out that goes for about $1000 - but doesn't have all the onboard processing.

I don't think they have any other PrePros in the works at the moment.

The one featured in the video looks to be for home use, where as the one you found will be for pro applications. They are not in the same league.

I'm in the exact same boat - however I'm going crazy with the wait as I have been waiting so long. Your are far more level headed than me. I sent an e-mail to ListenUp and they said they will be carrying it and have a preorder however I haven't gotten them to spill the beans about price or release date - undertandable but frustrating.

Any word? I am really looking forward to this pre-pro. I am eager to get spec on it and a release date. It is disappointing that Denon's own web site is never a useful source of info. Their most recent press release is from early 2006.

Rumor has it they may have a cheaper one than the reference one they should have out by September - the cheaper one if it exists will be out towards the end of the year - of course it is all just rumor till we get some real info from Denon who still doesn't have their Denon Experience working on their web page yet.

Some guy on another forum said he called Denon Tech support last month and that is what he was told. I heard another similar comment but both of them are just rumors at this point.

Info on the AVP-A1HDCI

I can't believe Denon hasn't updated their site or released any new info on this unit. I thought I read it was going to be released in Japan in September.

Can't believe how little info Denon is giving

They gave us a 3 month range for a launch date on the AVP-A1HDCI. What is driving me just as crazy is their "denon showcase" which has been on their web site for 3 months but still isn't active.

Rumors are still that it might be out by December but some are expecting delays putting it well into Q1 2008
