i used to carry a Cold Steel Ti-Lite but quit due to the screws not screwing back into the zytel handle after a teardown for cleaning...
I took apart my leatherman crater yesterday to oil it and to see how it worked, and I'm embarrassed to say it took me about an hour to reassemble it. I couldn't figure it out, until I realized that the screw behind the clip had to be held in place, while the opposite side was turned. I was lucky enough to have 2 of the same bits, otherwise I would've had to go and buy a new bit set.

I've been EDCing the c33b and a fenix e05 that I just bought. The e05 is a really neat single AAA keychain flashlight. Very bright and lightweight with easy to find batteries.

Just wanted to make sure it looks as good in person as it does in the photos...
Well, these are still photos :D, but here are some that I just took.

Sorry for the large images, but I think that these knives deserve it. :)

I'm no knife nut, but I do appreciate a good blade. I just got myself a Gerber Mini Swagger straight edge to take over daily duties from a combo edge CRKT Point Guard, which is now the car knife.

btw: Yesterday flipping channels I saw Elton's Good eats - Dark Chocolate special - I noticed he was using Kai Shun's (about) 9-10" Chefs knife :D

If I use almost same knife does this mean I could cook as good as he ?:D

btw: a while ago I bought off Woot Shun Electric knife sharperer
Amazon.com: Shun AP0119 Electric Sharpener: Kitchen & Dining

for $35 or so (over 100 retail)

While I wound never take my shun to it, I had other old knife got pretty dull - the sharpener did pretty good job - all in all - very good purchase if you don't want to spend hour sharpening blades manually

Disclaimer, no it won't give any knife same edge as shun get from factory - you'd need a wetstone and leather to get there... but 90% there is not bad

I picked up a Kershaw compound from woot, just came in the mail Saturday. It's not as nice as my spyderco knives, but for for $13 I couldn't pass it up.

I have a Kershaw Tiger-Stripe Blur, one of their USA-made blades. Very cool and built like a tank with no wobble. With Kershaw, some of the knives are Chinese-made and some are domestic so you just have to handle them to see if they are solid or not.

I love my Kershaw blur, it's super quick to open and very solid. I also carry a Leek at work sometimes, but the blade is really thin, and seems kinda fragile to me. It's a nice knife to have for dress carry, but not a tactical folder by any means, and kinda pricey for what it is.

Very True, but according to reviews Ken Onion's I ordered is supposedly made in US. - I think It makes it one of cheapest Kershaw's made locally, cheaper than that are almost guaranteed to be China made, yet according to reviews they not that bad

I ordered Leek not for protection, but for occasional outdoor/camping/bbq use - I think I will do fine - according to some sources Ken Onion designs are what made Kershaw brand famous :)

The Shun Premier 7" Santoku knife is on an Amazon gold box deal for $120 until 10am PDT today or until all deals are claimed. It was $100 around the holidays last year, but that isn't a bad price.
