I haven't heard the R10, but I have a pair of R12's and they are very nice for music, but not the LFE monsters that get recommended here on a regular basis.
Spec-wise, the R12 is 29Hz and the R10 is 31Hz, so not much difference there; but given 300W RMS vs 200W RMS amps, I suspect the main difference is max SPL.
I believe a R10 (or 2!) is best suited as a reasonably refined complement to a nice pair of BS speakers in a bedroom system.
$120 for the new R10 is a better bargain, but I will mention that the R12 is available refurbished for $200 in case it is a better fit:

I probably would have gotten the 75" TCL series 6 if it was at that price when I was buying (early this year). In the end I bought a 70" Vizio E series for $840 (with $200 Dell Gift Card). I already have current Roku, so I'm pretty happy with it, but 75" and TCL series 6 is good stuff!

That is definitely one of, if not the best options for less than $200!
I have to wonder if they are still manufacturing the LSR-305's!
Seems like it is getting close to a year since they came out with the 305Pmk2.
