I have had a Onkyo TX-NR626 for two years. I just upgraded my TV from a Samsung LN40C500F3F 1080p to a Hisense 55H8C 4k UHD. There is a small amount of static that flickers on the screen and a very prominent band of static down the left side.
Here is a picture:

I have plugged sources directly into the TV HDMIs and they all look good. But any source (PS3, Chromecast, etc.) running through the Onkyo receiver has the same static snow noise, no matter which HDMI on the TV or receiver is being used.
However, if I select a source on the receiver with no HDMI input, the screen looks fine. For example, I have nothing plugged into the HDMI port for BD/DVD, so the screen is blue with no static at all. I can navigate the Onkyo menus and everything looks great.
It's disappointing because this TV is a big upgrade for me, but any HDMI source I try to run through the Onkyo looks terrible.
Any idea what the problem is?
Edit: It was just something weird with a HDMI cable. I switched two cables and it looks glorious now. I checked all connections before. Strange thing is both cables are still in use now, but everything looks fine. Oh well. Sorry to bother.
