Any good guesses as to what these are?

Those ain't real Altecs, they're Sparkomatics made after real Altec went strictly pro and Sparkomatic bought the right to use the Altec name for the consumer junk they sold (and still sell).

A real Altec freak wouldn't use those as a doghouse.

Speaking of which I doubt very much the speakers in the OP are Altec, JBL, Klipsch or Bozak.

These are real Altecs, my Model 19s and AS-21s

The drivers in those are made by GPA, a company run by the real Altec's last head designer who bought the production tooling when Telex sold off real Altec pro. GPA makes real Altec drivers and parts under the GPA name, many Altec freaks use GPA parts and repair services. My AS-21s use GPA 902 compression drivers which are identical to the Altec 902.

Many Altec enthusiasts wonder if the new Altec company (the Sparkomatic name is no longer used) has even sold a pair of their A7s given that you can get a used set in excellent condition for $1500 and under. The last set of A7s I owned, which I got about 3 years ago, cost me $500.The consensus is that the new ones are put out there as a flagship product, a statement so to speak.

Hair-trigger dynamics, first rate clarity and the abilty to play at very high levels with a sense of complete ease and effortlessness are hallmarks of the old Altecs.

Altec engineering and loyalty.

Sansui?

Sansui was known for slapping several drivers in the box. Horn present as well.
