Has not been a good few weeks. We came home from the fire up north to find one of the cats sick. I spent half the day at the vet yesterday and still brought home a sick cat. They gave me all of his charts though, which meant they felt it was pretty serious. Hours later, he took a turn for the worse and we had to put him down. He was a week short of his birthday, which happened to be the 4th of July. He was my daughter's cat, but she couldn't take him when she moved to the east coast, so he's been with me for his whole life. He was a stray, so we sort of feel that he got a shot at a good life and we tried to make sure he enjoyed it. He had been sick much of his life, but he was always a happy cat. The doctor said with his conditions, they were surprised he lived as long as he did, so he was a tough one. Rest in peace Fiz.

My condolences

Putting a loved pet down sucks. It's never easy.

I care more about my pets than most people I've met.

Sorry man- I've had two good cries in the last ten years-1st when my dad passed away, the second when we we had to say goodbye to our 16 yr old lab. Sucks.
Miss ya dad, miss ya jazzy

So sorry, John. My eyes teared up as soon as I read what happened. I always loved seeing your pictures of Fiz over the years. What a handsome boy. I can't express how sorry I am.

John, very sorry to hear about your cat. It is very difficult to loose part of your family.
